Share your SQL Server 2005 knowledge with the rest of the community!
First, we'd like to express our thanks for your interest in bringing your ideas to YukonXML.com. Great authors are what makes YukonXML.com a premier resources Web site for all things SQL Server 2005.

YukonXML.com is looking for good writers to join our team, write for us on a regular basis, and share their knowledge with the SQL Server 2005 community. We're looking for tutorials and other content in all areas and of all technical levels.

Currently we do not offer financial compensation for articles submitted to YukonXML.com. For regular contributors, we are building a reward program; more details on this will be available on this site once we implement it.

When you publish your article on YukonXML.com, you get a large amount of publicity and visibility in the SQL Server 2005 community. We post a link to your article on home page, newsgroups, blogs and newsletters. Thousands of developers/administrators will be looking at your work and providing feedback. Having an article published on YukonXML.com is the best way to develop your technical writing skills, and earn reputation as an expert. You can then grow on this path, review SQL Server 2005 books, and contribute to SQL Server books.

You continue to retain the copyright of your article and code, you just give YukonXML.com permission to use it in a fair manner.

E-mail us one zip file containing article, images, and code.
  • Submit your article as a Word document or as a HTML file.
  • Make sure to include all the supporting files such as images and code sample files.
  • If this is your first article on YukonXML.com, include your bio and contact information.
  • If you article is not yet ready, you just have an idea, send us the article abstract and/or outline. If you have already written for some other sites/books, please email us the links/references.
  • Articles should be written in a direct, peer-to-peer voice. Use the active voice as consistently as possible.
  • Use plenty of examples.
  • Explain the concepts in clear and easy to understand manner. Provide prerequisites and/or assumptions that you have made.
  • We would review your article before publishing it on the site. Your article will be edited for clarity, grammar, style, and technical accuracy. At times, we might remove paragraphs or sections of an article for space, focus, and flow. Don't take it personally.

    In addition, please review your article before you send it us.
  • Begin your article with an introduction (concise) and/or some background information, and provide a summary at the end on concepts that you explained/illustrated in the article. The introduction needs to grab the reader in the first paragraph. Why should he or she read your article? It needs to give an overview of the article's content and intentions.
  • YukonXML.com reserves the right to publish or not publish any submitted content.
  • Once your article is published on YukonXML.com, you may refer your friends/colleagues/other community members to visit YukonXML.com and see your article. If you would like to include your picture on the article page, please include that with the article. If we can help in any ways to get the widest possible readership for your article, please let us know.
  • E-mail us of any updated/changes to your article once it is published.
